Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Shawn Chick has been a South Walton resident since 1997. She is intimately familiar with the 30-A communities, having experienced South Walton’s evolution as a resident, small business owner, wife and parent since 1997. Upon graduating from Florida State University, she honed her customer service skills as Director of Commercial Property at The Market Shops and Village of Baytowne Wharf and then Director of Front Office at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. During her tenure there, Shawn coordinated many resort wide events, worked hand-in-hand with Market Shops & Village tenants along with internal departments to insure the employee, social and group guest experience was exceptional. After leaving Sandestin, she owned and built a retail business in Rosemary Beach that evolved over eight years.. Shawn is married to locally renowned architect Geoff Chick, who has designed award winning homes in communities along 30A and the Emerald Coast since 1996.
